Greek Lettuce Salad - Maroulosalata
This Greek lettuce and dill combo is a classic spring salad that’s easy to make with everyday ingredients.
The most important thing to remember is that it’s best when made at the time of year when lettuce, specifically Romaine lettuce, is at its peak, and for us in Greece, that’s always in the spring.
All you need is fresh, crisp Romaine lettuce, spring onions or scallions, dill, sea salt, lemon juice and olive oil. You can dress it up with a little crumbled feta if you want, too!
Ingredients
- 1 head of Romaine Lettuce trimmed and cut into ribbons
- 2 - 3 scallions trimmed and chopped
- 1 small bunch of dill chopped
- 1 cup crumbled Greek feta
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 4 - 5 tablespoons extra virgin Greek olive oil
- Sea salt to taste
Instructions
-
Combine the lettuce, scallions, dill and feta in a mixing bowl.
-
Whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil and salt. Toss the salad with the dressing.
-
Serve.
